What the interface says back. Ordered by how much of the reader's attention each one asks for, from a line that waits to be noticed to a dialog that will not be ignored.

Toasts Something happened and it is over: a note that appears at the edge and leaves on its own. Banners Something holds for the whole page and stays until it is dealt with. Messages A sentence attached to what it is about — under a field, inside a block — in the five semantic colours. Markers One capsule for everything said about a thing in a word — a state, a name, a version, a category — with the circle for where there is no room for it, and the counter, which is the one thing that is not one. Loaders Something is happening and its end is not known — the spinner for a machine, the dots for somebody about to speak. Progress The same, with an end that is known: a bar driven by the same words the cli progress speaks. Distribution What a total is made of rather than how far it has got: the parts of a whole in one line, in the order they are given. Errors What a page shows when what it was asked for cannot be given.
